Our aim is for all pupils to  have access to a good quality careers education, through a variety of methods including
access to ICT software, links with connexions and use of recent publications.
 
Pupils will leave Avonbourne School with a sound knowledge of healthy living and the ability to make informed decisions. Pupils will be educated in managing finances and understand the functions and use of money.

The Careers Department are very excited to be collecting evidence to gain the 'Investors in Careers' award.  An award that recognises the brilliant work that already occurs by staff and pupils throughout the school and in PSHE lessons.  It also helps us identify how to improve the Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance that is provided for our students.  Any Ideas or Suggestions see Miss Juddery.  Watch ithis space for furtehr developments!! 
 
 
Are you eligible for an Education Maintanence Allowance (EMA)??? If your household income is less than £30,810 per year you could be granted up to £30 a week, paid directly into your bank account. For more information visit www.direct.gov.uk.  All you need to do is show a commitment to your course by meeting course deadlines and maintaining excellent attendance.
