Following an article in the Daily Echo on April 24th concerning Christopher White of Kimberley Road, Southbourne, Head teacher Debbie Godfrey-Phaure said: “The young lady referred to in the article was not an Avonbourne student.
“When these serious allegations came to light in August, Mr White was immediately suspended from his post at Avonbourne while police investigations were ongoing, and had no access to the school or pupils."
His employment was then terminated in the autumn term, she says.
“During his time here, prior to the allegations, there was no suggestion whatsoever of any impropriety. He was of course police checked prior to starting work at Avonbourne" she added.
