The aims of the Learning Support Department are to assist in the development of the whole child, to remove barriers to learning, and to ensure that every individual student has the opportunity to fulfil her potential. We intend to ensure that students with additional learning needs are educated to the highest possible standard by providing them with a variety of oppportunities and support  in order to stimulate their desire for learning, and to nurture their ability, by:

• whole school identification
• developing a differentiated curriculum to meet the needs of all students wityhin the classroom
• target setting, monitoring and mentoring identified students
• developing parental and community links
• working closely with outside agencies toensure swift referral/consultation advice
• ensuring that all identified students can learn alongside their peers and teachers feel confident in delivering appropriate material
