Not got Microsoft Office?
Some students and parents complain that Microsoft Office is too expensive. There are a couple of alternative

s to paying the full cost that will still allow students to open and use common files such as Word and Excel documents.
The student version of Office brings the price down to around £80 (rather than hundreds) and can be purchased from most computer retailers There is also OpenOffice, a free alternative to Microsoft Office that is compatible. Visit their website
here.
Need a computer or help with your work?
Need a computer at school during the day? Go to T1 or T4 at break and if these rooms are free at lunchtime, you can use them then as well.
Or come along to
Study club after school in T1, 2.45-3.45pm Monday to Friday and use the computers then.
SamLearning makes a difference
!
This programme is available to all students in and out of school for free. Through the use of carefully prepared revision exercises and exam-style questions completed and marked online, and with supporting guidance from subject examiners, students using SAM Learning Secondary develop a strong revision habit and improved exam technique. This increased confidence is reflected in improved results. Give it a try.
