Global Enterprise Challenge
10 Year 10 girls will be attending as below ...
The popular global trading challenge is returning on 4th March at Bournemouth University. This is a ‘masterclass’ targeting gifted and talented pupils in year 10, and is run by Young Enterprise.
The pupils will work in groups to form their own companies, discussing roles and responsibilities to work effectively as a team. They will then use a virtual network and laptops to fulfil a large IT order from international suppliers. They will have to communicate with suppliers via e-mail and messenger, overcoming challenges such as supplier differences, exchange rates and time zones. At the end of the day they will have the chance to present their order proposal to the rest of the groups.
The day is led by an industry expert and assisted by a range of local business volunteers. The pupils will also have the chance to take a tour of Bournemouth university.
