The CDQS or Cultural Diversity Quality Standard recognises and celebrates the excellent work done by many schools to promote cultural diversity and race equality. It recognises that Schools have a critical role to play in developing community cohesion and ensuring that pupils leave school prepared to live in a culturally diverse society.
The criteria for the Quality Standard was created with a number of headteachers from schools around the country and with representatives from the Stephen Lawrence Trust and the National Governors’ Association.
