International links

Avonbourne School is developing working relationships with a number of schools internationally

College Saint Joseph, in Le May sur Evre, France - linguistic and cultural exchanges as part of the MFL curriculum dating back over the last 20 years.

Karigu-ini School, Kenya - this partnership program with a number of other local schools, involves student collaboration and teacher visits. It will focus on mostly KS3 and will involve a year long project looking at Business & Enterprise.

Kingdom School, Saudi Arabia - Saudi Arabian teacher visits in late 2007 has helped a series of collabrative projects get underway. Click here for more information.

Jamangile Senior Secondary School, South Africa - a teacher placement a few years ago has led to specific projects in relation to GCSE English and poetry writing.

Macassar Primary School, South Africa - this link was established following teacher visits in 2007 to the Western Cape. Projects will explore student motivation, personalised learning and enterprise with particular emphasis on the expressive arts.

Other international links with schools in Spain and Italy are planned. More information to come soon on these.
