The Kenya Link is an inclusion project linking schools in Kenya with schools in Dorset. The school at Karigu-ini has been the main focus and since the Kenya Link was started people in all the schools involved have been able to see the direct benefits of helping each other.
What are the aims and objectives?
- To establish ongoing projects between Karigu-ini School, Avonbourne School, Courthill First School, Parkstone, Linwood Special School and any other interested partner schools
- To ensure that the project is a positive cultural exchange for all parties
- To focus on a rural school in Kenya with Bournemouth area schools
- To enable children from all schools to have a dialogue through letter writing, exchanging stories, art work, and other activities
- To set up resources in all schools involved that reflect the cultures of both countries
